The NBA lockout for the Atlanta Hawks was officially over tonight as the Hawks played their first regular season game.  This was the first game of the shortened season to just 66 games.  Each game is crucial since the season is shortened.  The Hawks came out firing on all cylinders Tuesday night against the Nets.  In fact, they beat the New Jersey Nets by 36 points with the final score being 106-70.  This is a different Atlanta Hawks team with Jamal Crawford not coming off the bench anymore as he signed with Portland.  The Hawks and their new bench guys had now problem filling Crawford’s shoes as Vladmir Radmanovic scored 17 points and veteran Tracy McGrady scored 12 points.  The Hawks top two starters in points for the evening were Marvin Williams leading the way with 14 points and Jeff Teague close behind with 13.

I have high expectations for the Hawks this season and they are off to a great start.
